Tavistock

From Plymouth and the A38

Leave the A38 at Manadon interchange and follow signs to Tavistock on A386.

Go through Yelverton and Horrabridge and as you approach the town centre for Tavistock bear left at the roundabout with the statue of Sir Francis Drake.

After about 50 yards, at the T-junction with mini roundabout turn right towards the town centre.  Keep straight on until, as you approach the town centre, you are forced by the one-way system to turn right.

Immediately after that right turn you will see the office on your right.  The office has a small car park, but if that is full there is a public car park 25 yards down the road.

From Exeter, Okehampton and the A30

Leave the A30 at the Sourton Cross interchange with the A386.

At the bottom of the slip road turn left towards Tavistock.  Stay on the A386 past Lydford and through Mary Tavy.

As you approach the town centre there is a midi roundabout (bigger than a mini roundabout, but not full size!).  Turn right towards the town centre, passing the post office on your left.  Keep towards the centre of the road.  Go straight over the first mini roundabout and turn left at the second mini roundabout, keeping the church on your left.

After about 150 yards turn left and immediately you will see the office on your right.  The office has a small car park, but if that is full there is a public car park 25 yards down the road.

From Bodmin, Launceston and the A30

Leave the A30 at the second exit for Launceston.  (Signed Tavistock)

Turn right at the end of the slip road on to the A388.  After about 1 mile, turn left on to the B3362 towards Tavistock through Milton Abbot and Lamerton.  Go past the hospital and at the bottom of the hill, at the mini roundabout, fork left towards the town centre.

As you approach the town centre, you are forced by the one-way system to turn right.

The nearest train station is Plymouth, by taxi it will take you approximately 40 minutes.
