With more than 20 years’ experience in tax, Mike qualified with a leading London tax practice before joining an international firm. He became their local Head of Company Tax before being headhunted to join Francis Clark.

Mike has enormous experience derived from a number of large transactions he has carried out which includes flotations, demergers and sales. He has a strong reputation in the South West for technical experience, lateral thinking and resolving complex problems.
 
He specialises in Corporation Tax, and the tax aspects of corporate finance work including reconstructions and business mergers, business sales and purchases and CGT planning. Mike is also involved in IHT planning for businesses and has a particular interest in property based businesses and resolving the complex interaction of SDLT, VAT and direct tax. Mike also deals with EMI and other remuneration techniques.
 
Mike is a Chartered Accountant.
