Charles is one of the firm’s senior audit partners, working with some of the largest private sector companies in the region. He is the firm’s specialist in the further education sector and is the partner responsible for charities in our Plymouth office.
In addition to audit, Charles has considerable experience in business planning and due diligence. This, combined with a strong tax input, provides our Corporate clients with access to a full package of services, which add value to our compliance role. Charles co-ordinates these services, introducing the right specialists to our clients at the right time.
Charles heads up our Professional Practices Sector Group, where he takes the lead in developing our services to solicitors and other professional practices and for ensuring that staff working in this field are up-to-date on sector related matters.
Charles joined Francis Clark in 2001, following a 20 year career in the region with PwC.
Charles was at school in Plymouth, graduated in Economics & Mathematics from the University of Liverpool, is a Chartered Accountant (1982) and in 2008 was awarded the Institute’s Diploma in Charity Accounting.
